Blog Post #6: The Last Curtain Has Fallen

It is coming all to a end. This means that next week is the last week of school and exhibition week. I am pretty excited, scared and sad that exhibitions are next week. The next week is going to be when I present my whole genius project and what I did during this time. I have to say I do not have a favorite part of the genius project because there are many parts to this whole progress. The whole difficult part of this project is creating the videos for the my project because they take a while to edit and record. I learned I like to procrastinate a lot when there is a long deadline. I feel very good with how I self-direct my learning and how I am able to turn projects at the deadline. My strengths is that I can't get distracted when I have to do work and also that I have to turn things at the right time. Otherwise, I don't feel very good about that project. I will grow as I progress in the school. Thank You and Goodbye!

Blog Post #5: Everything Is Coming to an End

For the exhibitions, I feel very nervous and I have no clue what I am going to do. This project has been very hard to keep track on because I have a busy schedule with my other projects. Some things that I have learned about me through this whole progress was that I need to be more organize and meet deadlines when I have to. The thing that I learned from this project is that I am super passionate about sharing my passion with others. I like making the book review videos, it's just that I don't have time to record them. I want to keep myself on track for this last month and finish some videos before school is over.   

Blog Post #4:Time for Action

My genius project has very difficult to get caught up with because of my busy schedule. I have made a plan for myself for over expeditions. I think my best moment of success of my genius project was that I finished a list of all the books that are going to do for the countdown. My biggest struggle was finding time to do my genius project because I have other projects too. In my midway plan, I want to complete a lot of my presentations for the book countdown during expeditions. I have a lot of work to do but I know that I can do it.

Blog Post #3: The Trip of Knowledge

This past Thursday and Friday, I went on a trip to see the different colleges in the Bay area. We visited the campus of Berkeley and visited some student groups. I talked with the Liberty for North Korea group and the Improve for Charity group. The Liberty of North Korea fund raises money to get refugees out of North Korea. The Improve for Charity creates comedy skits to fund raises money for other group charities. They donate the money to student group in their campus. They said that when you enter freshmen that you have a lot of off time and that joining a group helps meet new people. I felt very inspired by the Liberty of North Korea club because they have to fund raise over a quarter of a million dollars to save one person. I remember them telling me that over this whole time that this club has been open, they have been able to save one person from North Korea. It must be a struggle to collect all that money for only one person. I felt very inspired that they try their best to save one person. Overall I think that this trip was inspiring and all the groups are all fantastic. That was my experience in the study trip to San Francisco.  

Blog Post #2: Hitting Troubling Waters

This past week, I had to present a pitch to a group of my classmates. In the beginning, I was very nervous for what was going to happen. I prepared my presentation and practiced a few times but still felt nervous. It went very well because I had prepared as the best I could. Also I put a lot of work into my presentation. I got the grade I think I deserve because of all work I did paid off. I think I was an okay presentation compared to other presentations. Some presentation were super good. Like for example, Gaby's presentation had so much pictures and sounded so professional. She had practiced much more than I had because it sounded like she was a professional business women. I think everyone did an awesome job at the presentations.

There are couple of things that I want to say about my genius project. I have said I would finished one of the videos by this week. But I have decided to change the day to next week because I haven't had time at all to work on that. I think will have the first video done the beginning of the week. Then the next video, will be done by the end of the week. I believe that is all I have to say.   

Blog Post #1:The Beginning of Our Story

For my genius project in English and History, I will be be creating book reviews on youtube. It will be like a book countdown of all my personal favorite books. It is for teens or young adults interested in reading to find books that they maybe didn't know about. I am really excited for this project because I really love reading and want to share that with other people. Some difficulties I anticipate that editing will be a big difficulty. I will present a video of all the videos as my product for my project. I believe this will turn out super good.
